Writing Effective Requests
Give the AI enough context to sound personal, not templated.
Great testimonial requests feel personal because they are personal. The AI can only work with the context you provide, so the fastest way to improve quality is to add one or two concrete details about the customer and the work.
Useful context to provide
Customer name: Sarah
What you did: Built her e-commerce website
Outcome: Helped her launch a cleaner checkout flow
Tone: Warm and direct
Channel: EmailYou do not need to write a long brief. A short note about the customer, the project, and the outcome is usually enough to make the draft feel specific instead of generic.
If you know the milestone that just happened, include it. AI messages are stronger when they reference a launch, a finished sprint, a successful campaign, or a result the customer actually experienced.
Simple rule
If your request could be sent to any customer without changing a word, it is not specific enough yet.
